Congratulations to the Veronica Ryan OBE on the unveiling of Custard Apple (Annonaceae), Breadfruit (Moraceae) and Soursop (Annonaceae), 2021, the UK’s first permanent public sculptures to celebrate and honour the Windrush Generations. 

The first permanent public sculptures honoring the Windrush Generations in the UK, these works are commissions by the Hackney Council as a permanent symbol of honor, respect and commitment to the Windrush Generations, their legacy and contribution to life in Hackney today. 

Curated and produced by Create London, supported by Art Fund with additional funding from the Henry Moore Foundation. The Hackney Windrush program is supported by Freelands Foundation.
